The good news is...well, I don't know what the good news is.
The bad news is that Nemo has to go back to the good folks at the rescue. He started manifesting some of the problems that Penelope experienced, and we're just not ready to deal with that right now. I think he'll make someone else a good pet, but he's not for us.
For once, it's not the cat's fault, either.
So sorry to hear Nemo had to go back, but I think you made the right decision and I am glad you didn’t try and force the situation to work. You guys need a pup you don’t have to worry about so much¸ and he needs a living situation that can deal with his personality. I hope you guys continue to look at shelter dogs, because the perfect dog for you is out there, you just need to keep meeting dogs until you find the right one. I know your version of Monklyn is out there waiting for you! I’m going to be headed back to VT this Monday, and I may stay out there for a little while so I will look into getting my passport renewed so I might be able to come see you. Or perhaps if you guys could get away and come down for the weekend we could all stay at the cabin in the woods (I’d have to check with Marius, but I’m sure he’d be fine with it.) I know I technically just saw you two, but I'm selfish and want more time with my best-est lady friend! The sky there is out of this world at night and there is the nicest little garden with fresh veggies! Also, there are two friendly goats. I can call you for free from M's house line, so I'll ring you as soon as I get into town. ::Hugs::
